Dead Anarchy – Sonic Reducer

Dead Anarchy is a band that we already covered here in the past and they are a supergroup of sorts where they are featuring musicians from of the best Metal, Rock and Punk bands of the Swedish scene, thus allowing for a very interesting brand and approach to things. And their latest single, Sonic Reducer, is a very good example of that.

The thing about Dead Anarchy that I find so appealing is the fact that they are quite straightforward, carefully adding those Punk influences in the forefront but not relying solely on that. I’m not the biggest Punk fan out there, but I appreciate the way that they use these elements in a manner that feels organic and straight to the point.

The vocals are charismatic and with that classic Punk influence, but without losing the feeling and the delivery, which is so important in order to get the possible results in the performance. Plus, once you add those nice touches of melody in both the guitar riffs and the vocal lines, you have something very interesting going on.

This is a band that relies on the old saying that “less is more” and I have to wholly agree with that as it plays to their strengths and you can tell that they are having a good time while recording and playing these songs, which is also the whole point of making music as a whole.

Definitely a very interesting piece and a band that deserves a lot more attention than what they are getting, so make sure to check them out.
